Webster Technique in Solana Beach
The gold-standard prenatal chiropractic technique for a balanced pelvis and an easier birth. Dr. Lisel is Webster certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. That credential is the most recognized prenatal chiropractic certification in the country.
What Is the Webster Technique
The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment developed by Dr. Larry Webster to support pregnant patients. The goal is simple: balance the pelvis.
A balanced pelvis means the sacrum sits in the right position, the pelvic ligaments are not pulling unevenly, and the uterus can sit and grow without external tension. When the pelvis is in balance, baby has the maximum room to move, grow, and settle into the position they need to be in for an easier birth.
Webster is gentle. There is no twisting, no force, no pressure on the belly. We use a pregnancy pillow system that lets you lie face-down comfortably through the entire visit, even in the third trimester.

What to Expect at a Webster Visit
Step 1: Check-in.
We talk through how you are feeling, what is new, where baby seems to be sitting.
Step 2: Assessment.
We check sacral position, pelvic balance, and the tension in your round ligaments. Most of this is gentle hands-on work.
Step 3: Adjustment.
A specific, low-force adjustment to the sacrum. You will not feel a forceful twist or pop. Most patients describe it as light pressure.
Step 4: Ligament work
We release the round ligaments with gentle contact along the lower belly. Many patients say this is the most relieving part.
Step 5: Movement homework.
A couple of simple positions or movements to keep the work going between visits.
