Postpartum Chiropractic Care in Solana Beach
Your body just did the most incredible thing it will ever do. Now let us help it recover. The first year postpartum is a body in transition. Hormones, hips, the pelvic floor, the rib cage, the neck and shoulders from holding and feeding. We work all of it.
What Is Postpartum Chiropractic Care
Postpartum chiropractic is specialized care for the version of your body that exists after pregnancy and birth. Your pelvis has been through months of widening and softening. Your core is reorganizing. Your nervous system is operating on broken sleep. You are bending, lifting, twisting, and feeding in positions you did not do before.
Postpartum visits help reset your pelvis, support the closing of any diastasis, take pressure off your neck and shoulders from nursing and carrying, and give your nervous system permission to recover.
What Postpartum Care Helps With
Pelvic instability, SI joint pain, and lingering sciatica
Diastasis recti recovery support
Pelvic floor reconnection (we work alongside pelvic floor PT, not in place of)
Upper back, neck, and shoulder pain from feeding and carrying
Wrist pain (the famous "mom thumb")
Headaches from sleep deprivation and posture
Postpartum mood support through nervous-system regulation
C-section recovery (cleared by your surgeon first)
What to Expect
The first postpartum visit looks at your whole body. Where is your pelvis sitting now versus during pregnancy. How is your sacrum doing. Where are the rib cage and upper back compensating from carrying baby. We adjust everything that needs it and give you a simple plan for the next four to six weeks.
Bring baby. We will hold them, adjust them too if needed, or set them in a safe spot while you get a few minutes for yourself.
